Ms. Leslie J. Myers, 54, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at 6:35 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

Leslie was born on June 2, 1972, in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of Roger and Barbara (Tammen) Myers. She grew up in Galesburg, where she developed lifelong friendships and became known for her warm heart, outgoing personality, and willingness to help anyone in need.

She is survived by her loving parents, Roger and Barb Myers of Galesburg; her brother, Grant Myers of Galesburg; her sister, Heather (Kevin) Kniker of Galesburg; her beloved nephews and niece, Colten (Meghan), Elizabeth, and Myers; and her great-nephew, Remington. Leslie treasured her family and took great pride in being an aunt and great-aunt, cherishing every opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and spend time together.

Leslie graduated from Galesburg High School in 1990, where she enjoyed participating in choir and sharing her love of music with others. Music remained a constant source of joy throughout her life. She loved gathering with friends for karaoke nights, music trivia, and any occasion that allowed her to sing, laugh, and make memories with those she cared about.

A dedicated and hardworking individual, Leslie was employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement for many years before later serving as a receptionist for MSI.

Service to others was one of the defining characteristics of Leslie’s life. She had a deep passion for supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and devoted countless hours to its mission. For many years, she proudly served on the committee and volunteered as a driver for the Galesburg-to-Peoria St. Jude Run, helping raise funds and awareness for children and families facing serious illnesses. Leslie found fulfillment in knowing she was helping make a difference in the lives of others.

Those who knew Leslie will remember her as someone who never met a stranger and never forgot a face. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, making everyone feel welcome and valued. Whether through a simple conversation, a helping hand, or an encouraging word, Leslie had a gift for brightening the lives of those around her. Her friendships were numerous, and she genuinely enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

A faithful member of First United Methodist Church, Leslie looked forward to serving wherever she was needed. At the time of her passing, she was preparing to assist with Vacation Bible School, a ministry she was excited to support. Her faith guided her life and inspired her commitment to serving others.

For many years, Leslie was also an active volunteer with the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Through this organization, she helped mentor young women and promote the values of leadership, confidence, citizenship, community service, and personal growth. She took great pride in encouraging young people and helping them discover their potential.

Leslie’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, friendship, and service. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live in the hearts of her family, friends, church family, and the many people whose lives she touched.

Memorial visitation is scheduled from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service, Galesburg Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Deb Epley officiating. Cremation will be accorded. In accordance with Leslie’s wishes, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences may be offered at www.h-p-w.com.
