Diane Vanzyverden, 80, of Galesburg, IL, passed away on August 14, 2026, at Goldwater Care Nursing Home in Roseville, IL.

Diane was born on September 1, 1945, in Canton, IL, the daughter of Francis Allen and Frances Mae (Rohr) Russell. She was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduating from Galesburg High School in 1963.

She was a city cab driver in Galesburg for 20 years before later retiring.

Diane loved dolphins and spending time with her sons. She especially loved being around her grandchildren.

Survivors include her 14 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Brian Fancher and Jeff Fancher.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the Diane Vanzyverden Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
