Miss Carol M. Robertson, 88, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 4:17 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Carol was born on December 6, 1937, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Nora B. (Parkins) Robertson. She was their only child.
Carol was born and raised in the Galesburg area and attended local schools before graduating from Galesburg Senior High School in 1956. Following graduation, she attended Brown’s Business College, where she earned training in secretarial skills.
Throughout her working years, Carol held various positions, including employment with the Galesburg Credit Bureau. She later worked at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, where she was employed for 10 years. Following her retirement from OSF St. Mary’s, Carol continued to volunteer there for several years.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She will be lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Knoxville Cemetery, with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. Burial will follow at Knoxville Cemetery.
