Steve A. Hardesty, 67, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 9:27 PM, Monday, September 28, 2020 at his home.

Steve was born August 10, 1953 in Monmouth, IL the son of Charles D. and Mary (Isreal) Hardesty.  He was raised and educated in rural Monmouth and graduated from Warren High School in 1972.

Steve married Sally Ann White in Albine, WI on October 5, 1974 and she survivies.

He was laborer working at the United Facilities Warehouse in Galesburg, IL for over 40 years before retiring in 2019.

He enjoyed bowling, car races, video games, playing video golf,  watching football games, traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Hardesty of Monmouth, Il; 2 daughters, Emily Jean Hardesty and Kristal L. Hardesty both of Monmouth, IL; his sister, Vickie Crain of Monmouth, IL; 3 brothers, Robert Hardesty of Monmouth, Il, Dick Hardesty of Altoona, IA, and Dave Hardesty of Eldridge, IA; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Hardesty; brother in law, Allen Crain and sisters in law, Julie Hardesty and Lyn Hardesty.

Cremation has been accorded.  No services are planned at this time.  Memorials may be given to the Steve Hardesty Memorial Fund and left at the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Is in charge of the arrangements.
