The annual Half-Way to Freezing for Food benefitting the Roseville Helping Hands Food Pantry and also the Jamieson Community Center Food Pantry is scheduled for June 21st through 23rd at Save A Lot Food Store in Monmouth. JCC Executive Director Nancy Mowen shares how the donations benefit the community:

“The food is distributed in our pantry. We are currently seeing an increase in our numbers. Right now we are at about 160 households. Typically at the Half-Way to Freezing for Food Food Drive, we will be looking for fruit and we can take fresh fruit. We look for vegetables, boxed meals, rice is always a good thing; we have breakfast food on our shelves and that includes granola bars, cereal, oatmeal, and pancakes.”

Half-Way to Freezing for Food will air on Sunny 97.7 WMOI and AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM Tuesday, June 21st, Wednesday the 22nd, and Thursday June 23rd from Save A Lot Food Store in Monmouth.
