Dispose of those Unwanted and Unused Pesticides Safely

The Illinois Department of Agriculture is hosting a Pesticide Clean Sweep program in central Illinois. The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau has registration forms for the program and can explain more details, shares Manager Gina Long:

“We have the registration forms in our offices. So, if you have any questions, please feel free to let us know. We can get you a form. The purpose of this program, if there are any farmers or retired farmers, landowners, or private pesticide applicators, if you have an agricultural chemical pesticide you want to dispose of properly, this is exactly what the program is for. What you will need to do is fill out a registration form and submit that to the Illinois Department of Agriculture and then you will get a reservation card with details on where the drop off location and the time is that you need to bring your chemicals you want to dispose of.”

Forms need to be completed and turned into the Illinois Department of Agriculture by July 27th.
