The music department at Monmouth-Roseville High School is gearing up for a big day on Saturday, as Monmouth-Roseville once again hosts the IHSA state solo and ensemble competition. The Titans vocal department has captured 11 straight Class B vocal state titles. Combined with the Titan band scores, they’ll be vying for their 3rd straight overall title, a feat that the program has already accomplished 3 out of the last 4 years.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Friday morning, Chorus Director Kevin Ferry says the kids’ hard work and confidence has led to the success that the Titans program has built in the past years.

You can tune in to live coverage of the IHSA state solo and ensemble competition on Sunny 97.7 WMOI from 1-3 PM on Saturday afternoon. We will have live interviews with Titans senior students and coaches, as Monmouth-Roseville goes for their 12th all-time vocal state title.
