Smashing Pumpkins Join Illinois State Fair Concert Lineup

The Illinois State Fair has added another artist to its already star-studded concert lineup. Fair officials have announced that the Smashing Pumpkins will headline the grandstand Friday, Aug. 16. Since forming in Chicago in 1988, the group has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and garnered two Grammy Awards, two MTV VMAs and an American Music Award. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. Other acts appearing during the Illinois State Fair include Keith Urban, Motley Crue and the Jonas Brothers.
