The Monmouth-Roseville high school track program had a big weekend at the 2024 IHSA state track meet in Charleston. After a fantastic showing at sectionals, Titans senior thrower Carmyn Huston qualified for the state meet in both the shot put and discus events. Competing on Saturday, Huston won 2 medals on the day, finishing 8th in the discus with a throw of 35.04 meters, and 2nd in the shot put with a final throw of 12.3 meters. Huston’s success at state this year is nothing new for her, as this is the third straight year of medaling at Eastern Illinois University. With more information on Carmyn’s state final performance, here’s Monmouth-Roseville High School Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson.
