Carol J. Douglas, 87, of Rock Island, passed away April 12, 2025, at her home.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private burial of cremains will be at Warren County Memorial Park. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Moline are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to a local Animal Rescue or the QC Botanical Center.

Carol was born on September 22, 1937, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of William Everett and Annie Maria (Watt) Perrine. Carol graduated from Monmouth High School. She worked as a word processor for 21 years, working for the Bituminous Insurance Company, Rock Island Argus, and Desaulniers Printing. Carol enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was a volunteer at the Quad City Botanical Center and Animal Welfare, Milan and she loved spending time there.

Survivors include her sister, Joan Smith; niece, Lisa Kay Casey; nephews, Steve (Karen) Erlandson, Dave (Kathy) Erlandson, Jerry (Mary) Erlandson, and Joe (Nancy) Erlandson; niece-in-law, Kim Erlandson; special friends, Rita Rochelle, Sheryl Dexter, and Sue Somes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Ruth Erlandson; brothers-in-law, Keith Erlandson and Kenneth Smith; niece, Mary Lou Erlandson; nephews, Jay Smith and Jim Erlandson.
