Jeffrey L. Overstreet, age 61, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 8:43 pm on Thursday May 1, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Jeff was born on August 18, 1961 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the son of Paul Lynn and Ruth Ann Cutliff Overstreet. He was raised in Monmouth where he attended local schools and attended and graduated from Monmouth High School with the class of 1979. Jeff entered the United States Navy and served his country as a Seaman Recruit. Jeff was first employed for a number of years in repackaging foodstuffs for United Facilities in Galesburg, Illinois. Next he worked at Rudy’s Tacos in Davenport also for a number of years. Jeff like playing the slots in Galesburg, Illinois and he was an avid master at the game of Monopoly.

He is survived by his brother, Stanley D. Overstreet and Vickie of Oquawka, Illinois. He is preceded in his death by his parents and two brothers.

Jeffrey is in the care of Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois and cremation is planned by his family. Disposition of his ashes is to be at a later date. To leave a condolence or for more information please visit www.turnbullfuneralhomes.com
