State Representative of Illinois’ 71st District, Dan Swanson, has partnered with local farm bureau offices to bring Farmland Assessment Seminars to farmers, bankers, ag lenders, and landowners to discuss the process and reasons why the farmland tax assessments continue to increase:
“It is presented by Brenda Matherly. She is a Subject Matter Expert with the Farm Bureau office out of Bloomington. Tuesday, September 2nd, we kick it off at 1 pm at the Moline Public Library. That is the Rock Island and Henry County Farm Bureaus teaming up on that one. Then we move to 3 pm at the Knox County Farm Bureau in Galesburg. Then on Wednesday, September 3rd, we kick it off early morning at 8:30 am at the Warren-Henderson County Farm Bureau office in Monmouth and then at 11 am at the Spoon River College Community Outreach Center in Macomb.”
Each Farmland Assessment Seminar is open for anyone to attend from any county.
