Sandra “Sandi” Clark, 67, of Monmouth, IL, continued to walk by faith and not by sight until her passing on April 22, 2026 at her home in Monmouth.

Sandi was born on August 14, 1958 in Monmouth, the daughter of Sammy Eugene and Dolores Margaret (Hoy) Clark. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1976. She later attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, IL.

She started out working as an aid at the Galesburg Research Hospital until their closing. Sandi then moved away for a time.  Upon her return, Sandi worked for Warren Achievement Center in Monmouth, where she dedicated her time to the group home until she became disabled.

Sandi opened her home to many foster children, offering them love, stability, and support. She also cherished her nieces and nephews and loved the time spent with them.

Sandi was baptized April 21, 2019. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Monmouth.

In her free time, Sandi loved fishing especially spending peaceful moments on sandbars and along the river. She had a passion for flowers and gardening, taking pride in nurturing growing things. Above all, she adored her pets, caring for many over the years and treating each as part of the family.

Surviving Sandra is her brother, Richard (Annette) Clark of Monmouth, IL; nieces, Kyrie Sprinkle and Alaura Clark; Nephews, Tommy Clark, Sammy Clark, Joe Clark and Adam Clark; Sister-in-Law, Merrilyn Clark; Cousins, Keith Hoy, Cindy (Jim) Romano, Pam Brown and Joe (Brenda) Clark.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dennis E. Clark, Kenneth A. Clark; one sister, Carolyn D. Hanson; and one niece, Mary Clark.Graveside services will be at 1:00pm, Wednesday May 6, 2026 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  No visitation hours are planned.  Memorials can be made to the Sandra Clark Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
