Students READY for success, that’s the tagline Monmouth College focuses on where students are known, supported, and challenged during their time on campus. A part of that success is the program opportunities made available by secured funding, reports President Dr. Patricia Draves:

“One is for a TRIO program, which is a program that is for under resourced students or first-generation students. It allows us to hire some people that can help them navigate higher education and do some things like financial literacy, help them with additional academic advising support and tutoring support, but there is also some work that they get to go out into the community,” informs Dr. Draves.

“The next is an S-STEM grant for science and technology, again to support students that might not be able to afford college, to give them full tuition support and some extra dollars so they can do things like undergraduate research versus getting a job,” Dr. Draves adds.

“We also announced a huge gift from Bill and Beverly Goldsborough of $5 million this year to move us forward. That is an investment in growth and it is helping us decrease some of the liabilities on campus,” says Dr. Draves.

To further enhance career pathways and align with student interests, Monmouth College restructured their academic programs into six district schools; business, communications/arts, engineering/sciences, education/human development, health/natural sciences, and humanities/civic engagement.
