Lola was born December 20, 1929, in the Woodhull, Illinois area, the daughter of Wesley and Verla (Wollums) Carlson. She married Delbert Eagle, and together they welcomed three children, Richard, Bradley, and Cheryl. She later married Wayne W. Mohr in April 1970 in Altona, Illinois. They shared 51 years of marriage before his passing on March 12, 2022.
She is survived by her son, Richard L. (Ruth) Eagle of Galesburg; her daughter, Cheryl J. (the late Dan) Koeritz of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special niece and dear friend, Tammy Burkhart, who lovingly looked after her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; her son, Bradley; and six sisters, Genevieve Yelm, Lois Pratt, Donna O’Hern, Rose Lockwood, Joyce Krans, and Joann Bunn.
Lola worked for more than 20 years at Admiral/Maytag Corporation. Outside of work, she found great happiness in the simple pleasures of home and family. She especially loved cooking for family gatherings, making sure everyone had something delicious to enjoy and that time together was special. In her earlier years, Lola was an avid quilter and lovingly made quilts her daughter and daughters-in-law, creating keepsakes that would be treasured for years to come.
She also had a special fondness for her dollhouse and enjoyed collecting miniature pieces to add to it. One of her favorite pastimes was changing its decorations to reflect the different holidays and seasons. Her attention to detail and enjoyment of these little touches brought her much happiness. Whether gathered around the family table, sharing stories, or enjoying her favorite hobbies, Lola created memories that her family will carry with them always.
In keeping with Lola’s wishes, cremation will be accorded. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Woodhull Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Seminary Estates Activity Fund.
