State Representative Dan Swanson (R-Alpha) is partnering with the Knox, Henry, Rock Island, McDonough, Mercer and Warren-Henderson County Farm Bureaus® to host Farmland Assessment Meetings in four locations. All farmland owners, farm managers and tax assessors are invited to attend, residency in the host counties is not required. The presentations will be made by Brenda Matherly, Director of Local Government Affairs with the Illinois Farm Bureau, and will give attendees a better understanding on how farmland assessments are calculated and the long-term impact of those values. One of these meetings will be held from 3:00-4:00pm on Monday, August 21st, at the W-HFB auditorium in Monmouth (1000 N Main St, Monmouth). Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau | FARM. FOOD.
