Residents of McDonough County and surrounding areas are invited to take part in the upcoming Native Seed Share, a free community event focused on promoting native plant landscaping and supporting local wildlife habitats. The event will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Owsley Wildlands, a natural gem in the region.
Participants will receive guidance on selecting and planting native species, as well as how these choices contribute to a healthier ecosystem. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just beginning your journey, this event is a great way to connect with nature and your community.
The event is free, but registration is required. Go.illinois.edu/seedshare. Directions to the event will be provided to registrants before the event.
