Second Saturdays Nature Program with City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation “Under the Ice”

Discover what is under the frozen lake, and uncover ways aquatic life survive when the water freezes with the City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation nature staff.  Weather permitting, there may be ice fishing, as an additional activity.  Bring your own fishing equipment, as there is a limited supply.  Class is held outdoors at the Lakeside Nature Center Shelter, with a nature walk through the woods, so dress for the weather.  This is a free program for all ages with different topics every second Saturday of the month.  There will still be a program if there is no ice so head out to the Lakeside Nature Center for exploration and adventure.  This is a great family program.  No pre-registration is required.  Donations are accepted to support nature programs.  Call City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation at 309/345-383, check out the website at https://www.ci.galesburg.il.us/government/parks_and_recreation/ or register on-line at https://www.amilia.com/store/en/city-of-galesburg-pr/shop/activities/4253093.
