New controversies in in the Illinois State Legislature has State Representative Randy Frese calling for ethics reform in the General Assembly.

Two congresspeople, one a state representative and the other a state senator, have resigned, and several state senators are under investigation or have been indicted.

Frese says ethics are a bipartisan issue:

“It’s an evil that we have to seek out and root out and separate from our body. This isn’t a Republican-Democrat or Liberal-Conservative thing, this is good versus evil.”

Norine Hammond, State Representative for the 93rd district, says corruption, “undermines our process and what we need to be doing”.
