Ethel Marie Clark, 68, of Galesburg, passed away at home on Monday, February 27, 2023.

Ethel was born on January 26, 1955 in Monmouth. She was the daughter of Lee and Doris P. (Redding) Poulson. She married Kenneth L. Clark on August 27, 1978 in Galesburg. Together they celebrated 26 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 8, 2005. Surviving Ethel are her sons, Lee Poulson of Galesburg, Shawn (Amanda) Clark of Galesburg and Terry “T.J” Clark of Knoxville; five sisters, Sally (Alan) Anderson of Galesburg, Diana Parker of Galesburg, Nancy (Lloyd) West of Cameron, Mary (Michael) Judy of East Galesburg and Sharon Painter of East Galesburg; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Jerry and sisters Betty Taylor and Amy Atchison.

Ethel attended Midstate College School of Nursing and obtained her certificate in Medical Transcription. She worked at Derby for five years until she retired in 2005. She was a volunteer fire fighter for the East Galesburg Fire Department for a number of years. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cremation rites will be accorded. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the family. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory have been entrusted with his arrangements. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
