Special Olympics Programming in Western Illinois will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary at the upcoming Spring Games Track Meet on Saturday, May 6th at Sunny Lane Field in Monmouth and Local Region F Director Cathy Betar shares how those interested in volunteering can become involved:

“Our athletes get so much out of this, but so do our volunteers and that is why we have volunteers that have come back year after year after year. They can call the office, 309-734-5903, and we can help them that way. We can email them a flier; we have them on our Facebook page, but there is a QR code that they can scan. For those people that aren’t able to use the QR code we can register them at our office and/or we have a group form as well, if there is a large group we can have them sign up that way.”

Over 250 athletes from the ten county area in Region F will be competing with 39 of those athletes representing Warren County.
