United Red Storm Baseball Peaking at Right Time

Share

The United high school baseball team is coming off its hottest stretch of the season so far. The Red Storm had rattled off 8 straight wins before falling to a very solid Orion Chargers team last night. Among those recent United wins includes two victories over the Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes, and a 9-7 win over Kewanee on Tuesday. As IHSA regionals begin to creep closer, the Red Storm hold a very respectable 12-7 record overall, and 5-1 record in Lincoln Trail West Division play. Ahead of this crucial stretch for United, head coach Ryan Molek says he wants his to team to continue to have the same consistency in every game.

The Red Storm have a small amount of their regular season schedule left with a game tonight against Illini West, and only two more LTC West games, a doubleheader against West Central next Saturday. For the full interview with Coach Molek, visit the Sports Podcast section.
