Knox’s Tyrell Pierce Earns All-American Status in 400m at NCAA Track Championships

ROCHESTER, New York – Tyrell Pierce placed sixth in the finals of the 400m at the NCAA Track and Field Championships on Saturday.

Pierce ran a 47.72 to earn All-American status in the 400m. He previously earned a fifth place finish at the indoor nationals earlier this year.

“Happy that Tyrell was able to finish with an All-American honor,” said head coach Evander Wells. “Last year he didn’t make the finals, so to do so this season was a good way to close out the year.”
