Bryan Lee Clewell “Beaver”, 32, a life long resident of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away after a long battle of addiction.

Bryan was born in Galesburg to Dale and Tia Clewell on August 28, 1990. Growing up, Bryan was a typical boy. He enjoyed fishing, riding dirt bikes, and mushroom hunting. He loved going on walks with his daughter and taking her for ice cream. Despite everyone’s efforts, including his own, drugs consumed most of his adult life. Bryan used to say, “If I could just go back in time, I wouldn’t have had anything to do with drugs.”

Bryan is survived by his daughter, Jaidyn Clewell of Marseilles, Illinois; his parents, Dale and Tia Clewell of Galesburg; siblings, Michael Marfell of Galesburg, Tia Marfell of Marseilles, Matthew Marfell of Galesburg, and Timothy Clewell of Galesburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Patricia Clewell and Leonard and Wanda Marfell, and his uncles, Paul Marfell and Phillip Clewell.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will be accorded following services. Memorials may be made to the family.
