Connie S. Dahl, age 74 of Galesburg, Illinois died at 6:13 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Knox County Nursing Home.

She was born on October 9, 1948 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Darrell and Mary (Watson) Dawson. She attended and graduated from Knoxville High School, the class of 1966, then attended the former Brown’s Business College in Galesburg, Illinois. She married Edwin C. “Jim” Dahl on February 22, 1975 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2014.

Surviving are two sons: Jon Dahl of Galesburg, Illinois and Scott (Brandi) Dahl of Springfield, Illinois; four grandchildren: Ian, Helaina, Nathan, and Kaitlyn Dahl; her mother, Mary Dawson of Galesburg, Illinois; sister-in-law, Vicki Dawson of Knoxville, Illinois; two nieces: Amy Dawson of Bartonville, Illinois and Marci (Brandon “B.J.”) Tyrrell of Galesburg, Illinois and Chellie Dahl. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, one brother, Richard Dawson.

Connie was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, Illinois and enjoyed working the resale shop. She worked at the former Admiral’s in Galesburg as a secretary, then NAEIR as a warehouse administration assistant for sixteen years. She worked with her husband at C & E Realty as a realtor.

Private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knoxville First United Presbyterian Church and sent to P.O. Box 222, Knoxville, Illinois 61448. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
