Donna L. Reyburn, 87, of Monmouth IL, passed away at 10:30 am, Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Courtyard Estates, Monmouth, IL.
Donna was born June 27, 1936, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Gerald Samuel and Effie Alice (Arendt) Kelley. She was raised and educated in Monmouth attending Monmouth High School.
Donna married Oral E. “Gene” Reyburn on May 10, 1952 in Rock Island, IL and he passed away May 7, 2022.
Donna was a school bus driver for Cavanaugh Bus Service in Monmouth. She later became a beautician in July 1969, working at Bowman Colwell, Spurgeon’s and finally from her home on S. 6th street before retiring in 1996. While working as a beautician she also worked in housekeeping at the Monmouth Hospital.
She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church. She also was a member of the Red Hatters and the Monmouth VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed, crafts, crocheting, knitting and making jewelry.
Survivors include her children, Sherrie (Richard) Hall of Monmouth, Norman (Rose) Reyburn of Mechanicsville, VA, Tommy Reyburn of Monmouth, Jimmy (Cindy) Reyburn of Summerville, SC and Jerry (LaNae) Reyburn of Geneseo, IL; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Peggy Redding of Biloxi, MS; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Graveside services will be 11:30 am, Monday, August 14, 2023 at Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am Monday morning at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.
