State Representative Dan Swanson is partnering with the Knox, Henry, Rock Island, McDonough, Mercer, and Warren-Henderson County Farm Bureau to host four Farmland Assessment Meetings. One of the meetings will be held at the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau in Monmouth on Monday, August 21st from 3 to 4 pm, shares Manager Gina Sanberg:
“He has Brenda Matherly, Director of Local Government Affairs with Illinois Farm Bureau, set up to give this presentation that will give attendees a better understanding on how farmland assessments are calculated and the long term impacts of those values.”
Two other meetings will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd, 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Knox Agri Center in Galesburg and 11 am to noon at the Lavender Crest Winery in Colona.
