He rushed for 134 yards on 22 carries, in which two of those carries he took to the end zone. Tyler also had the second-most tackles on defense with seven, two for a loss.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week. This week the spotlight shines on sophomore girls golfer, Meredith Yung. Meredith was the meet medalist in a dual match win against class 2A Galesburg. She blistered the Lake Bracken Country Club course with a 42. Earlier this season, Meredith shot a career-low 40 at her home course of Gibson Woods.

He ran for 162 yards on just 15 carries, taking three of those 15 carries for touchdowns. Alex contributed on the defensive side of the ball, also, garnering nine tackles.

Dominic received a medal for placing 46th out of an amazing 554 runners at the First to the Finish meet in Peoria. The meet is the biggest high school cross country event in the state. Dominic also has top-10 finishes in three other invitationals already this season, topping out with a 2nd place at the Limestone Rocket Invite.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior soccer player, Dawson Fenton. Dawson played a big role in both of the Tornado’s wins last week.
