MRHS Volleyball Now 18-7 on the Season

On Saturday, September 30 the MRHS varsity volleyball girls traveled to Orion for their last tournament of the season. The Titans went 2-2 for the tournament and finished in 5th out of 8th teams. The Titans first match was against Ridgewood. The Titans won the match in two sets with the scores of 21-10 and 21-15. After Ridgewood, the Titans played against Tri-Valley and lost in two sets. The Titans played very competitively in set one against this solid team. The scores for the match were 20-22 and 8-21. For the Titans third game of their pool play, they played Galena. Galena is another strong volleyball team, and unfortunately the Titans struggled to beat them. The scores for that match were 18-21 and 15-21. The Titans placed 3rd in their pool which brought them to the 5th place game against Princeton IL. The Titan beat Princeton in a 3 set match with the scores of 21-15, 20-22 and 21-14. Raelyn Stokes was nominated on the all conference tournament team for the weekend, congratulations to her!

Concluding the tournament, the Titans are now 18-7 for the season and 5-3 in conference. The Titans have another busy week with three games. On Tuesday the Titans will travel to Rockridge for a conference match. Wednesday the Titans will host their pink out night and welcome Princeville. On Thursday, the Titans will travel to Morrison for another conference match.
