The United Red Storm volleyball team will be competing for a class 1A regional title tonight, as they host 21-15 West Prairie at 7:00 at United High School. The Red Storm punched their ticket to tonight’s title game with a straight set win over the West Central Heat last night by scores of 25-22, 25-19. United’s run this year marks another year of success for the volleyball program, as the team has had 16 straight 20+ win seasons, excluding the COVID shortened schedule of 2020. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Thursday, United Athletic Director Jeremy Sharp discussed the Red Storm’s championship matchup with West Prairie, stating that it will be an exciting game between two of the top teams in local IHSA volleyball.

If United can take down West Prairie tonight they will move on to sectional action on Monday in the class 1A Princeville sectional, taking on tonight’s winner of Annawan and Henry/Senachwine from the Henry/Senachwine regional.
