Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau President Jake Armstrong Says Tremendous Yields are Being Seen Locally

Share

As the 2023 harvest season continues on, Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau President Jake Armstrong informs yields for corn and soybeans have been phenomenal locally:

“We have just been seeing some tremendous yields. You don’t have to go too far south where they really didn’t have the bushels, same with up north, so we are really in a nice sweet spot. I just hope people are taking advantage of the bushels and get those sold at appropriate prices. We are just having phenomenal yields in both corn and soybeans. Early on we saw some lighter test weight corn come in and I was kind of concerned on some quality that we were seeing, but as we have gotten into the later season hybrids, that has went away. West weights have come up, quality has been top notch, things are drying down well, so drying bills shouldn’t be as expensive as some years.”
