Brian J. Williams, 47, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 4:00 am, Friday, November 24, 2023 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, IL.

Brian was born on August 3, 1976 in Monmouth, IL, the son of David Bruce Reimolds & Shelley Williams. He was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Brian worked at Wells Pet Food in Monmouth for a time.  He worked for a temp agency helping several area businesses.  Brian enjoyed going fishing, cooking, and working on cars.  He enjoyed rebuilding small engines and motorbikes.  He was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed playing sports.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially spending time with his children.  Brian was always known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and his “Brianisms”.

Surviving Brian are his parents, Shelley (Tim) Jones of Monmouth, IL; biological father, Bruce Reimolds of Monmouth, IL; his children including but not limited to, Tyler (Alexsis Ludington) Williams AKA “The Favorite” of Knoxville, IL, Alayna Williams of Monmouth, IL, Nathan Stokes of Adair, IL, Peyton Williams of Adair, IL; his siblings, Missy (Tim) Bewley of Monmouth, IL, Tammy Jones of Monmouth, IL, Shelly (Kurt) Smith of Kirkwood, IL, Missy Jones of Monmouth, IL, Travis Reimolds of Little York, IL, and Trevor Reimolds of Oquawka, IL.  Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; one aunt; three cousins; and his two children, Andrew James Williams and Avery Michele Williams.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2023 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.  Memorials can be made to the Brian Williams Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
