Tickets are still available for Friday Night Lights, the largest fundraiser for the Special Olympics Illinois Region F athletes. Assistant Director Jennifer Davis shares the night begins with appetizers, followed by dinner, raffles, silent auction, and a live auction:

“This is our largest fundraiser we do in our region. This year it is presented by Smithfield Foods. It is a dinner and auction, so we start with some tailgating appetizers, a steak dinner, we have raffles, silent auction, and live auction. All the proceeds benefit our athletes here in Western Illinois. We have some really great items for our silent and live auction this year, including a New England vacation package, so you can visit the Maine and New Hampshire coasts, the Destin, Florida vacation package is always popular. New this year we have a Hot Air Balloon ride that we are going to be auctioning off. We have half a hog from Wynn Farms plus processing. Of course, we have seed for the local farmers, we have a Saint Louis Cardinals package and Blake Shelton concert tickets.”

Friday Night Lights will be held Friday, November 17th at Meks on Main in Monmouth beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $30 per person or $280 for a reserved table of eight, which can be purchased by calling 309-734-5903.
