The Monmouth-Roseville Titans boys basketball team has had a stretch of tough home games in the past week. Last Friday the Titans hosted the (15-3) Sherrard Tigers at the Shoebox of Monmouth-Roseville High School. Monmouth-Roseville would lead 37-30 in the late minutes of the third quarter, however the Tigers would rattle off a very strong second quarter, taking the victory 50-39. In a quick turnaround, the Titans would then host the Macomb Bombers on Saturday, with Macomb coming away with a 66-47 road win. In their most recent contest, the M-R boys met up with TRAC-West rival Rockridge this Wednesday night. It would be a tough day for the Titans offensively, as the Rockets would take a 54-26 win back to Edgington. After their latest 3-game homestand the Titans now sit with an overall record of 13-10, heading into another home matchup tonight with the Kewanee Boilermakers. Aside from being an important conference game for both teams, tonight will see the Titans honor their many senior basketball players before the varsity contest. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Friday, Head Coach Jake Sottos talked about all of his seniors, saying that they are a great influence on all the classes behind them, as the Titans look to continue their consistency as a program.

Friday’s Titans vs Boilermakers game will tip-off after senior night festivities, at around 7:00. You can listen to all the action from that game live on Sunny 97.7 WMOI or online at radiomonmouth.com, coverage will begin with the pregame show at 6:45.
