Monmouth-Roseville Titan Boys Basketball Staring at Busy Weekend

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans boys basketball team takes the court tonight at the Shoebox of Monmouth-Roseville High School. After having a road game in Port Byron postponed from Tuesday to Wednesday, the Titans took on TRAC-West rival Riverdale. The Titans held an 8-point lead going into the half, but a strong 3rd quarter would propel the home court Rams to a 55-49 win over Monmouth-Roseville. Wednesday’s loss drops the Titans to an overall record of 13-7. The Titans return home to the friendly confines of the Shoebox at Monmouth-Roseville High School for two games within 24 hours, hosting Sherrard for another important TRAC West Division game tonight and then welcoming their long-time rivals, the Macomb Bombers, tomorrow afternoon. Focusing on tonight’s game, M-R will host the 2nd place team in the Three Rivers Conference in the Sherrard Tigers. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show, Titans Head Coach Jake Sottos says that guard play will be pivotal in tonight’s matchup, as Sherrard’s defense plans to bring the defensive pressure.

Again, the Titans get right back on the floor on Saturday afternoon against Macomb. Tonight’s home contest against Sherrard will tip-off from MRHS at 7:00. You can hear all the action from that game live on Sunny 97.7 WMOI, or online at, beginning with the pregame show at 6:45. Tomorrow’s varsity game is slated to start at 2:30, so our WMOI pregame show will hit the air at 2:15.
