Mr. Walter H. Boller, 91, of Galesburg, Illinois died 4:35 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.

He was born November 19, 1932, in Merrill, Wisconsin to William J. and Erna (Nass) Boller. He married Mary Russell on October 12, 1991, in Galesburg.

Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Mary Boller of Galesburg, a son, Kevin (and Cheryl) Boller of Colorado, four daughters, Diane (and Rich) Tatters of Pennsylvania, Patti VanVorst of Arizona, Annemarie Boller of Wisconsin, and Jennifer (and Nate) Duran of New Mexico, two stepsons, Rodney (and Angela) King of Illinois and Tim (and Ashonte) King of Texas, two sisters, Carol (and Paul) Hagstrom of Wisconsin and Judy Boller of Colorado, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Herbert W. Boller and a sister, Elda Boller.

Walter was a sports announcer for the former WOC television station and for Vince Lombardi and the Green Bay Packers. He later was an engineer for WGIL and WAAG radio station for several years and retired in 1996. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg. Along with his television and radio experience, Walter was a Ham Radio operator. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking.

As Walter requested, cremation will be accorded. There are no services scheduled. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
