Bobby D. McKinney, age 85, of rural Victoria, Illinois died at 1:49 PM on February 2, 2024 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois surrounded by his family.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 1, 1938, the son of Paul and Ida (Lay) McKinney. He attended and graduated from East Peoria High School. On January 18, 1992 the married Lucille Berger in Victoria, Illinois.

Surviving is his wife Lucille of rural Victoria, Illinois, a son, Eric (Ruth) McKinney of Canton, Illinois; three grandchildren:” Rhonda (Bob) Doty of Fort Madison, Iowa, Bobby (Nichole “Nikki”) Koepp of Wataga, Illinois, and Blaine McKinney of Victoria, Illinois; a brother, Danny (Sally) McKinney of East Peoria, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Debbie Lyytinen; his siblings: Duane, Darrell, Virginia, and Darlene

Bobby worked as an engineer for BNSF, retiring after 39 years. He was a member of Stone Fort Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing, deer and turkey hunting, riding his golf carts and attending auctions.
