Martha M. Cook, 95, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:35 am, Thursday, February 22, 2024 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, IL.

Martha was born on September 18, 1928 in Hale Township, Warren County, IL, the daughter of George Harold and Leona (Skidmore) Earp. She was raised and educated in Warren County in the Eleanor area and graduated from Little York High School.

Martha married Rodger E. Cook on July 21, 1956 in Monmouth; he survives.

Martha was a homemaker and loved babysitting her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking.

Survivors include her husband, Rodger Cook of Monmouth; two children, Rodney (Cathy) Cook and Wanda (Clifford Adam) Wilson both of Monmouth; four grandchildren, Jason (Nikki) Cook, Sarah (Jacob Jones) Cook, Allan (Corri VanDyke) Wilson Jr., and Jennifer (Drew Woodsmall) Schoene; eight great grandchildren, Caydence Wilson, Eldon Wilson, Maddie Cook, Cole Schoene, Aubrey Fowler, Bentley Jones, Riley Jones, Grace Cook; brother, Robert Earp; two sisters, Leona Lenz and Effie Boock; and sister-in-law, Shirley Earp.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Earp and Larry Earp; and two sisters, Mary Bushong and Parolee Themanson.Cremation rites have been accorded. Interment will be at Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth, IL.  Memorials can be made to the Martha Cook Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
