Renovations Continue for Warren Achievement Center’s New Community Day Services Facility

Renovations to the former VFW Post 2301 in Monmouth continue as the site will be the new location of the Warren Achievement Center’s Community Day Services facility. Marketing Coordinator Sean Cavanaugh shares there have been three components to upgrading the facility:

“One is renovating the existing inside. We already have classrooms walled in, different offices, and a conference room. They have done just an amazing amount of work, Warren Achievement Center’s maintenance crew. They are really good and they work fast and it is quality work and are saving us a fortune. The other component is we are having an addition put onto the building that will serve those who require the most care. We want them to have brand new everything because there are certain specifications that have to be met in order to meet standards set by the state and other agencies. Then the third is the parking lot. It needs redone so we are weighing our options if we need that big of a parking lot, make some green space, or maintain the whole thing, so there are still some things to decide there.”

Cavanaugh calls the construction a legacy project as the Community Day Services facility will serve the local community for many years to come.
