Fish and Plant Orders Now Accepted Through Warren County SWCD

Share

Spring fish sales are just around the corner with the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District. Resource Conservationist Shawnee Sheehan says most fish orders are due by April 3rd and March 25th for grass carp.

“The reason for that difference in due dates is because to sell grass carp in the state of Illinois, you have to have a certain permit turned into DNR. So, we have to have some information about the pond and where it’s going,” says Sheehan. “Pickup will be April 12 at the office. We do offer delivery, so if you want to get any fish stocked in your pond but you don’t think you’ll be able to make it in that morning of April 12, all you have to do is contact me and I will schedule a delivery time. ”

Sheehan adds that the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District will be holding a native plant sale for the first time. Deadlines for plant plug orders are due by May 3rd.
