Officials with the IHSA say they expect to finalize renewals on contracts to continue holding the state basketball championships in Champaign and Normal soon. Word on the pending renewals followed the championship finals for the girls’ basketball tournament in Normal and the boys’ championship in Champaign. IHSA officials say they expect the final announcement of the contract renewal will come in the next few weeks.
