This Sunday, April 14th at 2 pm inside Dahl Chapel on the Monmouth College campus, local singer and actor Patty Nieman will present A Singer Who Moves: Songs and Stories with Patty Nieman and Friends, providing a collection of favorite songs, new musical theatre, contemporary cabaret, and stories through the years. Nieman, who has performed all over the country, shares she was first interested in singing at a young age:

“I started when I was in about eighth grade. I did my first musical and I was kind of hooked right from the get go and thought I wanted this to be a part of my life. At that time I thought I want this to be my whole life and that happens for a very rare few people and I was not one of them. I was able to do quite a lot of performing as a musical theater performer. Now what I am doing to keep that creativity alive is I narrate audio books. I have wanted since I was a child to do performing, to share my voice and my stories, to sing for people. That has always been something that has brought me a lot of joy.”

Chicago based pianist and long-time friend Jennifer Trueman and Class of 2025 Monmouth College student, Emma Romano, will join Nieman on Sunday.
