A-24 Studio has its biggest opening ever as “Civil War” tops the weekend’s box office. Set in an apocalyptic future in America, the movie earned an estimated 25-point-seven-million-dollars in its debut. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” finished second with 15-point-four-million-dollars after holding the top spot in its first two weeks. Holdovers “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” and “Kung Fu Panda Four” each brought in around five-and-a-half-million-dollars, while “Dune: Part Two” rounds out the top five. A 20th-anniversary re-release of “Shrek Two” came in ninth with one-point-three-million-dollars.
