Sandra B. Schaley, age 84, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at 4:55 AM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born October 25, 1939 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of John and Florence (Hageman) Stull. Sandra attended school in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School with the Class of 1957. In June of 1957, she married Billy Powell. Later, Sandra married Harold Schaley.

Sandra was a stay at home mom and homemaker. For a time, she was employed by W.C.H.A. Sandra obtained her wildlife rehabilitation license and rehabbed many animals. She obtained her E.M.T. certification and volunteered her time with the Stronghurst Ambulance. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed photography, crafting, scrap booking, her flowers, and all of the numerous pets throughout her life.

Sandra is survived by two daughters, Kim Inghram of Burlington, Iowa and Jami (Roy) Johnson of Monmouth, Illinois, one granddaughter, Coco Inghram, five grandsons, Chad Ferguson, Travis A Inghram, Sean Johnson, Ian Johnson, and Thye Inghram, and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Toni Ferguson, and one sister, Lee Driskell.

A Prayer Service for Sandra Schaley will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Memorials may be left for Western Illinois Animal Rescue. For more information, or to leave a remembrance of Sandra, please visit www.turnbullfuneralhomes.com
