Tyren D. Swank, age 26, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at University Of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.  He was born November 24, 1997 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Danny and Tasha Schramm Swank.

Tyren was a 2016 graduate of West Burlington High School.  He had been employed at Shopko, J.I. Case, and KPI Concepts in Burlington.  He also worked at the Feed Lot restaurant in Stronghurst for a time.  He was an avid weight lifter and fitness fanatic, and enjoyed working out with his friends.  He loved playing football and softball with his friends, and especially enjoyed late night online gaming.

Survivors include his parents: Tasha (Bob Avery II) Bundy of Stronghurst,  Danny and Heidi Swank of Burlington, grandmother: Stacey Schramm of Stronghurst, great grandparents: Mary Jo and Bernie Oltman of Burlington, one brother: Trevor Warth of Stronghurst, five sisters: Tailor Schramm, Morgan Pennington, Raven Pennington, Jaden Pennington, and Keagan Swank, all of Burlington.  Also surviving are three very special friends: Ronnie Ludington, Zach Warth, and Brent Nichols.  He was preceded in death by grandparents: Barb Trautman, Richard Swank, Michael Schramm Sr., and Tammy Holeman.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst.  Cremation will be accorded following visitation.  A memorial fund has been established for the family.  Please visit Tyren’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to leave a condolence.
