The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® Foundation is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipients. Due to the generosity of the Twomey Family Foundation, memorials in honor of loved ones, support from our members and area businesses, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation can assist nineteen applicants this year in furthering their education in agriculture. Each of this year’s recipients will receive a total of $1,300 for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Foundation started awarding scholarships in 1994 and since that time has awarded 412 scholarships and almost $350,000 to students continuing their education in an agricultural field of study.

Meet one of this year’s recipients: Connor Gibb

Connor Gibb attends Southeastern Community College in West Burlington and is majoring in agriculture. While at Southeastern, Connor has been involved in a career fair, as well as working part-time to help pay for college and other expenses. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and helping on the farm. Connor’s future plans include transferring to a 4-year college. Although his future plans aren’t clear he is positive he will work in the agriculture area as he enjoys all aspects of it. Connor is the son of Kevin and Marissa Gibb of Biggsville.
