The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® Foundation is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipients. Due to the generosity of the Twomey Family Foundation, memorials in honor of loved ones, support from our members and area businesses, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation can assist nineteen applicants this year in furthering their education in agriculture. Each of this year’s recipients will receive a total of $1,300 for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Foundation started awarding scholarships in 1994 and since that time has awarded 412 scholarships and almost $350,000 to students continuing their education in an agricultural field of study.

Meet one of this year’s recipients: Jacob Ford

Jacob Ford attended Black Hawk College East in Galva this spring but will transfer to Western Illinois University in the fall to major in ag education. While at Black Hawk, he has been a part of the Livestock Judging team as well as the Ag Business Club. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys working with cattle (clipping and fitting them for shows) and working for different cattle operations. Jacob’s future plans include becoming an ag teacher after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University. Jacob is the son of Scott and Jenny Ford of Media.
