Mr. Carl E. Miller, 89, of Cameron, Illinois died 7:10 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.

Carl was born January 28, 1935, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Lora (Beghtol) Miller. He married Lois Richardson on February 4, 1956, in Galesburg.

Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Lois Miller of Cameron, a daughter, Karen (and Sam) Rowe of East Galesburg, Illinois, three grandchildren, Chandra (and Korey) Brown, Andy (and Megan) Row, and Lindsey (and Jacob) Peterson, and two great grandchildren, Alex and Oliver. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Steve Miller, two brothers and five sisters.

Carl was raised in Galesburg and attended Galesburg High School, graduating in 1953. He moved to Cameron in 1959. Carl and his wife owned and operated Concession Specialist for over 40 years. Carl was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed woodworking, reading western novels, and going to auctions.

Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Pastor Mary Runge will officiate. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
