United Red Storm Volleyball Goes (1-1) in Summer Scrimmage

The United Red Storm volleyball program hosted a 3-team scrimmage at the Fieldhouse at United High School on July 19th. The Red Storm joined the Monmouth-Roseville Titans and Macomb Bombers for a day of varsity and JV action. The Red Storm went (1-1) on the day, defeating Monmouth-Roseville and losing to the Bombers in the finale.

Prairie Communications Sports Director Shawn Temple caught up with Red Storm head coach Courtney Young following their first match against the Titans.

The Red Storm are coming off yet another 20+ win season in 2023, going (23-13) and winning their first class 1A regional title since 2016. Taking out the covid-shortened season in 2020, United has won at least 20 matches in 19 straight seasons. During that time, the Red Storm have won at least 30 matches an amazing eight times. Monmouth-Roseville will host United in a regular season meeting between on September 16th.
