Monmouth-Roseville Hires Social Worker for Central Intermediate

Share

Mrs. Freitag, the Director of Grants, and Central Intermediate Principal Mrs. Frieden applied for a Stronger Connections Grant to hire a social worker at Central, shares Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“The initial allotment we received was $166, 600 and then we received an Upward Amendment, is what they are calling it, in the amount of $66,643, so in total we will be awarded $233,243 for this grant. We are hiring a social worker for Central, and we will ask this person to be a liaison between the school district and a mental health support provider. We are working with Eagle View right now to see if we can come up with some sort of an arrangement. But I do want to note that doing this, it will be with parental permission.”

To further connect with the community, Superintendent Fletcher informs the district is working with Journey 12, who will write articles about the great things taking place at Monmouth-Roseville, which will then be placed in magazines and distributed three times a year.
